Sunday Commons
OPEN HOUSE SERIES - Sundays at Noon
April 5 thru May 10, 2026

Sunday Commons is our open‑house season—six consecutive Sundays in the Easter season when we throw the doors wide open and welcome the broader community to experience Garden of Grace. During this time, we will not hold our regular 3PM worship service. Instead, the building will be open for the Commons experience from 12:00 to 2:45PM. Doors open at noon, and lunch is served at 12:30PM.
Each Sunday Commons gathering follows a simple, life‑giving rhythm: we begin with open time for connection, share a meal around the table, and then offer two 30‑minute sessions led by community members and guest contributors. We wrap up by coming together as one large group to celebrate what we’ve learned and experienced. Sessions span a wide range of topics—from creative arts to hands‑on skills to spiritual practices—and each week is grounded in one of our six core values:
Week 1: Radical Love
Week 2: Extravagant Hospitality
Week 3: Spirit-Filled Worship
Week 4: Compassionate Service
Week 5: Faithful Growth
Week 6: Joyful Diversity
Some sessions have a minimum sign-up by the Wednesday before each session. Sunday Commons is designed for everyone, churchgoers and non-churchgoers, longtime members and first-time visitors, all ages and ability levels. If you’ve been curious about Garden of Grace but haven’t taken the step to visit, this is a great time to come.

You don’t need to sign up in advance to attend, but we do ask that you register for specific sessions, either by email or at the church, so our leaders can prepare.

Contemplative Offerings
Garden of Grace practices a faith that makes room for quiet. Alongside our communal worship, we offer contemplative and meditative practices for people who are drawn to a more reflective spiritual life. These offerings may include guided meditation, lectio divina, centering prayer, journaling practices, and small group discussions grounded in depth spirituality. They shift throughout the year based on the season and the needs of the community. You don’t need any experience with contemplative practice to participate. These gatherings are open to anyone looking for a slower, deeper way to explore faith, or just a quiet hour in the middle of a noisy week. Here’s one example of a contemplative series we held over zoom:
